At FruitFly, we believe that great things come from strong friendships and shared passions. Our co-founders, Eric Stifel and Darren Flynn, exemplify this belief. Growing up on Kingman Blvd in Des Moines, Iowa, Eric and Darren forged a lifelong bond that began on the soccer field. As early childhood friends, they played on the same team and created memories that would last a lifetime.

Their paths diverged in high school, with Eric attending Roosevelt and Darren attending Dowling. A memorable moment captured in the 2002 Roosevelt Yearbook shows Eric skillfully dribbling by Darren during a spirited soccer match.

As they transitioned to college life at the University of Iowa, their friendship only deepened. They became roommates and coworkers at Joe's Place, where they shared countless laughs and experiences that laid the foundation for their future business. Today, they remain best friends, continuing to support each other both personally and professionally.

Darren spends as much time with his Wife and three Children. Eric can still be seen strolling down Kingman Blvd with his beloved German Shepherds, Wall-E and Rider. Together, they brought their creativity, unique skills and shared vision of FruitFly's unlimited potential, dedicated to helping businesses thrive in the digital landscape. Their journey is a testament to the power of friendship, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the small businesses and businesses owners of Des Moines.
